Students honored with the following two awards are recognized at the University’s Honors Convocation prior to graduation.
Distinguished Psychology Major: conferred to the most outstanding senior Psychology major, "for academic performance, interest in Psychology as a science, and contributions to the department."
Outstanding Achievement: given for "outstanding academic achievement in both coursework and research."
The following are departmental awards that are sometimes given; recipients are recognized at a departmental event towards the end of the academic year.
Excellence in Research: given to a student who “demonstrates outstanding work in psychological research"
Excellence in Psychology: given to a student who "has an excellent academic record and has made substantial contributions to the undergraduate program"
