LABORATORY ON AFFECTIVE NEUROSCIENCE & DEVELOPMENT

The Laboratory on Affective Neuroscience & Development is in the Department of Psychology at The Catholic University of America. We utilize cognitive and affective neuroscience to study the development of social emotions and behaviors and how they may go awry across childhood and adolescence.

Attention Prospective PhD Students!

The psychology department at the Catholic University of America has three PhD programs: Clinical Psychology, Social Cognitive Affective Neuroscience, & Developmental Psychology. Given the interdisciplinary nature of our research, we can accept students from any of the three programs!

For the 2024/2025 application season, we will be reviewing applications to the Social Cognitive Affective Neuroscience PhD Program and the Developmental Psychology PhD Program. Please check back Fall 2024 for updates on whether LAND will be reviewing applications to the Clinical Psychology PhD Program.
